Steuart Goodwin

Band Arranger, Composer and Member of French Horn Section

Steuart holds a Bachelor of Music degree in composition from the University of Redlands, class of 1964. Growing up in Riverside, he played 1st Cornet in the Poly High School band under Lester Oaks. He switched to Horn during his Junior year of college and played in the University Community Symphony for 13 seasons under the founding director Edward Tritt. He is a pipe organ builder with a shop and office in San Bernardino. He has written articles for The American Organist, the Journal of American Organbuilding and Theatre Organ magazine. He has written a number of arrangements for the Redlands 4th-of-July Band and has composed two original works: “March the Sixth”, based on themes from Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony, and “The Smileys of Redlands”, a five movement suite for concert band.
